Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management & Administration

  • Oversee all contract administration activities for construction projects

  • Liaise with project managers and relevant stakeholders on contractual matters such as Extension of time (EOT), Contractual claims, Variations, Loss and expense claims

  • Provide guidance and support on contract administration throughout the project lifecycle

Tendering & Procurement

  • Supervise tendering and procurement processes for subcontract and supply contracts

  • Conduct risk analysis of tender documents and contract conditions

  • Support contract risk management at the tender stage

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact for contractual matters with Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors and Suppliers

  • Manage issues related to payment claims, variation orders, and contract execution

Legal Advisory & Dispute Resolution

  • Advise on contract disputes and claims with all parties

  • Handle dispute resolution and litigation matters related to construction projects

  • Provide legal opinions and guidance to business units

Compliance & Corporate Legal Support

  • Ensure company policies align with applicable laws, including Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

  • Manage and monitor key corporate documents such as Business licenses, Company permits or Powers of Attorney

  • Ensure timely renewal and compliance with legal requirements

Documentation & Risk Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents

  • Maintain proper custody and control of critical business documents

  • Support arrangement of Insurance, Bonds, Securities and etc

Project Legal Support

  • Provide legal support to project offices/sites on Contract administration or Claims management

  • Assist in securing additional payments entitled under contracts

Additional Duties

  • Perform ad-hoc legal and project-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in legal roles within the construction industry

  • Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, AIA, Minkan Rengo)

  • Excellent command of English (mandatory)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and risk awareness

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced project environments
