Responsibilities
• Technology Execution & Delivery: Translate the CTO's high-level technology vision into concrete technical roadmaps, timelines, and development sprints, ensuring on-time delivery of major IT and software projects.
• AI & Innovation Implementation: Spearhead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and automation tools into internal operations and external products to optimize group-wide productivity.
• Enterprise Architecture & Scalability: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable enterprise software systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and secure data pipelines.
• Team Leadership & Engineering Culture: Manage, mentor, and inspire the software engineering, DevOps, data, and IT support teams. Establish high standards for code quality, agile methodologies, and tech documentation.
• Digitization & Paperless Operations: Drive internal R&D and implementation of digital asset management tools, ensuring a seamless transition toward 100% paperless corporate environments.
• Tech Governance & Cybersecurity: Support the CTO in establishing robust cybersecurity protocols, data privacy governance, and business continuity plans across all digital infrastructure.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external tech vendors, software houses, and cloud service providers.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years in software engineering and IT infrastructure, with a proven track record of serving specifically as a Deputy CTO, Assistant CTO, VP of Engineering, or Head of Development at an IT Company, Tech Enterprise, or Software Solutions Provider.
• Technical Expertise & AI Mastery: Strong, hands-on background in enterprise architecture, full-stack development, and data systems. Deep practical experience in deploying and managing AI-driven workflows, API integrations, and automation tools within an IT-centric environment.
• Track Record: Proven success in co-leading tech departments, managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams (Developers, QA, DevOps, Data Engineers), and delivering complex software/IT projects from conception to deployment.
• Agile Mindset & Governance: Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, modern tech project management, cybersecurity protocols, and tech governance.
• Leadership & Communication: Outstanding people management skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical business leaders.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English (both spoken and written) for international vendor and stakeholder coordination. Ability to speak Thai or Lao is a major advantage.
• Mobility: Willing to be based full-time at the headquarters in Vientiane, Laos.
