Responsibilities

  • Source suppliers, goods, and services to align with production processes and project requirements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
  • Implement inventory optimization strategies to enhance efficiency within the company.
  • Obtain and assess quotes from various suppliers, compiling detailed cost breakdowns for negotiation.
  • Negotiate terms including price, minimum order quantity, payment terms, Incoterms, delivery schedules, and warranties with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure all procurement contracts accurately reflect negotiation details.
  • Generate quote comparisons and contribute to the selection of suitable suppliers based on comprehensive evaluations.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations to optimize company spending and outsourcing practices.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on project material specifications, scope of work, and drawings prior to requesting quotations.
  • Request and review quotations from suppliers, ensuring all specifications meet company and requestor requirements.
  • Support engineering in project pursuits by selecting suppliers that align with budget and project needs.
  • Process purchase requisitions (PRs) and create purchase orders (POs) for vendors in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure the timely execution of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities.
  • Manage purchase orders, confirm deliveries, schedule shipments, and ensure on-time delivery to meet the master production plan.
  • Monitor, follow up, and expedite deliveries to prevent production stoppages and maintain schedules.
  • Verify all received goods meet functional and quality specifications, arranging replacements for any defective products or parts.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives, negotiate savings, and ensure all purchasing activities comply with customer expectations and internal procurement policies.
  • Manage SAP vendor setup and maintenance for purchasing-related areas.

Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of experience in purchasing/sourcing/supply chain management and at least 3 years in a warehouse.

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience in sourcing and purchasing mechanical parts

  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials)

  • Internal contact with cross-functional departments, external contacts with suppliers and relative government departments

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP

  • Good command in English.
