Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models of electrical systems using Revit MEP, including power, lighting, cable trays, conduits, electrical panels, and Extra-Low-Voltage (ELV) systems such as fire alarm, CCTV, and data.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs directly from BIM models.
  • Input relevant information for Facilities Management (FM) utilization.
  • Monitor model progress, update drawings, and communicate changes to the Project Manager.
  • Perform clash detection in Navisworks and coordinate with architectural, structural, plumbing, and HVAC teams.
  • Update BIM models to accurately reflect as-built conditions.
  • Undertake other assigned duties and be available for work upcountry as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP for electrical systems and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of accurate drafting methods, including layering, X-References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports, and scaling.
  • Ability to utilize Revit MEP tools (e.g., Project Browser, Properties, Type Selector) and insert various family types.
  • Understanding of creating families/libraries and manipulating parameters and schedules.
  • Proficiency in Navisworks for model coordination.
  • Proficiency in reading Electrical drawings and details.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality results.

Job Summary

As a BIM Modeler (Electrical), you will be responsible for developing 3D models of electrical systems using Revit MEP. This includes crucial components like power, lighting, cable trays, conduits, electrical panels, and Extra-Low-Voltage (ELV) systems such as fire alarms, CCTV, and data networks.
