Product Development Lab Leader - INTERNATIONAL DIAGNOSTICS COMPANY LIMITED

• Manage and mentor our lab team to foster collaboration and accountability 
• Work with senior leadership to transform the lab’s current innovation-driven culture into a structured, ISO-compliant product development environment.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing application of ISO 13485-compliant processes, ensuring all lab activities meet international regulatory requirements.

• Plan, coordinate, and execute product development projects from concept through prototype to final product validation by ensuring alignment timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Establish and maintain best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control measures to enhance lab efficiency and product reliability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with local R&D and manufacturing teams as well as international quality and management teams to ensure seamless product development and successful market launch.

• Manage lab resources, including equipment, materials, and budget, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all lab activities comply with relevant safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Maintain detailed documentation of experiments, prototypes, test results, and project progress. Provide regular reports to senior management by data driven lab performance, lab results and product development status.

• PhD in the field of biomedical science.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in product and assay development in a lab environment, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
• Deep understanding of ISO 13485 and its application to product development, quality management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in wetlab work, including but not limited to cell culture, direct and indirect immunoassays, fluorescence microscopy, spectrophotometry, antibody and protein purification, conjugation and quality control as well as safe handling and processing of blood samples including WBC separation and characterisation.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
• Experience in molecular biology technologies and multichannel flow cytometry
• Understanding and on the spot problem-solving of technical issues in multichannel fluorescence microscopy
• Experience in biopharmaceutical production
