Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Transport Safety Management
• Implement and monitor transport safety standards in alignment with company policies and local regulations.
• Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for drivers and transport vendors.
• Manage risk assessments, route safety evaluations, and accident prevention initiatives.
• Lead incident investigations for transport-related accidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective & preventive actions.
Vendor Management
• Evaluate and audit transport vendors to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Verify documentation such as driver licenses, vehicle registration, inspection records, and training records.
• Monitor vendor performance including:
o Speed violations o Harsh braking/acceleration
o Driver compliance
o GPS behavior analytics
• Conduct regular vendor review meetings and improvement plans.
Logistics & Operational Support
• Support logistics and warehouse teams in planning safe operations and transport flows.
• Perform field inspections at loading/unloading points, gates, and on site traffic areas.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Implement and track transport safety KPIs such as accident rates, non-compliance events, and safety audit results.
Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure full compliance with road transport regulations and company standards.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly transport safety reports for customers and management team.
• Coordinate with authorities, insurance providers, and external stakeholders when necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety.
• 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, fleet safety, or vendor management.
• Strong understanding of roadsafety legislation and transport safety requirements in Thailand.
• Experience in incident investigation and safety risk assessment.
• Ability to work with multiple vendors and coordinate across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or GPS telematics systems is an advantage.
• Having a Safety Officer certification - Professional Level
• Able to be travelling to support multiple sites of Maersk by own car
