Responsibilities
1. Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
2. Lead or contribute to product design and development projects, including concept generation, prototyping, and testing.
3. Develop the benchmark information to ensure competitive product content
4. Manage BYD & DENZA product launch plan and coordinate with all parties in charge to ensure a successful launch of the product (Enhance BRAND Image and Maximize sale volume)
5. Support Training team to develop points of sales materials for training
6. Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues in product design and manufacturing.
7. Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI assessments for new product development initiatives.
8. Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain product quality standards, conducting inspections and testing as needed.
9. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety requirements, including emission and crash-test standards.
10. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create product documentation, marketing materials, and sales support.
11. Support production teams during the manufacturing phase, addressing design-related issues and making continuous improvements.
12. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during product development and production.
13. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
14. Participate in cross-functional meetings, communicate project progress, and provide technical guidance to other team members.
15. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.\
- Proven experience in product engineering in the automotive industry, with a deep understanding of automotive product development processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of automotive regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with project management and working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar job.
- A valid driver's license.
