Responsibilities
- Design and develop wire harness manufacturing processes, including crimping, stripping, and assembly.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Analyze production issues and drive improvements in yield, scrap, and defect reduction.
- Support the setup and implementation of automated production lines (semi-automatic and fully automated).
- Perform PLC programming, debugging, and optimization using Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron systems.
- Collaborate with equipment and automation teams to enhance production efficiency.
- Design and improve production fixtures and jigs.
- Control and monitor key process parameters, such as crimp force and stripping length.
- Support new equipment introduction and validation (FAT/SAT).
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why.
- Support internal and customer audits, including IATF16949.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in wire harness or cable manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of wire harness processes, including crimping, stripping, terminals, and connectors
- Basic PLC skills, with the ability to perform troubleshooting and debugging
- Experience with automated production equipment, such as crimping machines and automatic wire cutting machines
- PLC programming experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron)
- Good English communication skills
