Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Execution
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Retail and Residential Solar products, aligned with the company’s annual revenue targets and long-term business objectives.
• Set annual and quarterly sales targets; monitor performance against plan and implement corrective actions as required.
• Directly engage with prospective and existing customers to present products, negotiate terms, and close deals.
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis within the Retail and Residential Solar market, adjusting tactics and positioning to maintain a competitive edge.
2. Customer Management
• Manage and grow the existing customer portfolio while actively acquiring new accounts in the Retail and Residential segments.
• Build and nurture long-term customer relationships grounded in a deep understanding of their needs and business drivers.
• Own customer satisfaction outcomes through proactive service, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
3. Sales Promotion & Marketing
• Plan and oversee promotional campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives tailored to the Retail and Residential Solar segments.
• Develop additional sales channels to diversify revenue streams.
• Manage the marketing and advertising budget, ensuring optimal return on investment and alignment with strategic priorities.
4. Business Development & CEO Support
• Provide the BD team and CEO with actionable market data, competitive benchmarking, and sales insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate on the preparation of sales proposals, tender documentation, and client presentations.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, BD, and Marketing Communications to ensure seamless alignment with overall business objectives.
5. General Management
• Maintain and improve quality management systems relevant to the sales and marketing function.
• Prepare and manage the annual departmental budget.
• Deliver regular performance reports on sales results, marketing ROI, and key commercial metrics to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Demonstrated track record in the renewable energy sector, particularly solar, is strongly preferred.
• Prior exposure to C&I (Commercial & Industrial) and Utility-Scale project environments is a distinct advantage.
