Responsibilities
- Receive technical data and production requirements from HQ; set up and configure production lines to meet specific model requirements.
- Identify and establish optimal process conditions (parameters) through systematic testing and data analysis to ensure production stability.
- Manage the end-to-end sample-making process, ensuring prototypes are built to specification for quality verification and internal reporting.
- Create comprehensive Work Standards (WS) and operational manuals; train the Manufacturing (MFG) team on new processes to ensure a smooth transition to mass production.
- Monitor and report on process yields and defect rates during the NPI phase; provide detailed technical feedback to HQ and local management.
- Support production schedules which include project-based overtime (approximately 4 days per week) during critical new product launch cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, or a related engineering field.
- Must have at least 1 year of hands-on experience specifically in "New Type Set-up" (setting up, configuring, or preparing lines for new product types/processes).
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting equipment and process variances.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of image vision systems or automated optical inspection (AOI) logic.
- Proficiency in data management; experience using Excel (VBA/Macros) for automated reporting.
- Experience working within a structured manufacturing environment (e.g., ISO standards or Japanese manufacturing systems).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight product launch deadlines.
