Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Japanese Translator/Interpreter to join our team in the electronics manufacturing sector on a 1-year contract basis, with the potential for renewal each year. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional linguistic abilities, cultural understanding, and technical knowledge within the electronics industry. You will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and our team, ensuring smooth collaboration and understanding.
Responsibilities
- Translation: Accurately translate technical documents, manuals, specifications, and correspondence from Japanese - Thai, Japanese - English and vice versa
- Interpretation: Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and discussions between Japanese-speaking and English-speaking counterparts.
- Technical Support: Assist in translating technical specifications, diagrams, and instructions for electronic products, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Cultural Liaison: Serve as a cultural bridge between Japanese and English-speaking team members, helping to navigate cultural differences and ensure effective communication.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of translated documents and interpretations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding and implementation of project requirements.
Working condition
- Contact: 1 year temporary contract (but can be renewed for each year).
- Cleanroom Protocol: There may be occasions where the candidate will be required to wear a cleanroom suit when entering designated cleanroom areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Arts, Humanities, or related fields.
- Fluency in Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Proven experience in translation and interpretation, particularly within the electronics manufacturing or related technical fields at least 2 years.
- Having JLPT (N1 - N2) certificate is a must.
- Having TOEIC certificate is highly advantage.
- Can work under pressure and meet the targets.
