Project Development & Planning
Project Development & Planning
- Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and land suitability assessments for new projects.
- Review topographic survey data, geotechnical investigation reports, and relevant zoning, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in project budgeting, scheduling, and risk management activities.
- Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, utility providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Review structural and civil engineering designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, and related technical documents.
- Coordinate with external consultants, designers, Project Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) teams, Quantity Surveyors (QS), and internal stakeholders to ensure design alignment and integration.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, company requirements, and data center-specific criteria.
- Support design reviews, value engineering initiatives, and design risk assessments.
- Monitor and manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and inspect structural, civil, and external infrastructure works during construction.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Monitor project progress, work quality, safety performance, and compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in inspections, testing activities, and work acceptance procedures.
- Prepare and support project progress reports and related project documentation.
- Support commissioning readiness activities and coordinate civil and structural interfaces with MEP and commissioning teams.
- Support the review of variation orders, claims, and progress payment applications.
- Verify compliance with contractual requirements related to civil and structural works.
- Assist in evaluating contractor performance and project deliverables.
- Support inspections, punch list management, and project close-out activities.
- Verify the readiness of civil and structural works prior to project handover.
- Review as-built drawings, warranties, operation manuals, and other handover documentation.
- Support the acquisition of completion certificates, permits, and approvals from relevant authorities.
- Provide technical support on civil and structural matters to internal teams following facility handover.
- Support facility enhancement, expansion, retrofit, and capacity upgrade projects within the data center campus.
- Assist in monitoring and assessing the condition of buildings, structures, roads, drainage systems, and site infrastructure.
- Support the coordination and resolution of defects, warranty issues, and building-related concerns.
- Assist in long-term maintenance planning and asset lifecycle management of the facility.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering License (Associate Engineer level or above) is required.
- 3–5 years of experience in design, construction supervision, or project management.
- Experience in Data Center, Industrial Facility, Mission Critical Facility, or large-scale construction projects will be an advantage.
- Experience working on construction sites and coordinating with contractors and consultants.
- Ability to read, analyze, and review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the project development lifecycle, from design and construction through handover and operations, will be an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles and practices.
- Strong project management, planning, and multi-disciplinary coordination skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues in a systematic and practical manner.
- Ability to prepare reports, monitor project progress, and manage project documentation.
- Good communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work n a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft OAice, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, project cost control, and variation order management will be an advantage.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, will be an advantage.
