Responsibilities

Job Title: Purchasing Engineer
Location: Lumpini Tower (MRT Lumpini)
Company: Chumporn Palm Oil Industry PCL
Working Day: MON – FRI, 08:30-17:00
Reports To: Procurement Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage procurement and contracting processes for repair and construction works, including sourcing, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
2. Oversee contractor performance and project execution to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, budget control, and proper documentation.
3. Oversee the procurement of spare parts, machinery repairs, miscellaneous items, and assigned tasks, including delivery follow-ups.
4. Compare prices, finalize purchase decisions, and prepare related documents for managerial approval.
Monitor product deliveries and verify received goods with the warehouse team to ensure they meet specifications and ordered quantities.
5. Address and coordinate resolutions for any discrepancies in specifications or quantities.
6. Prepare and track related documents such as invoices and credit notes.
7. Create summary reports on procurement activities.
8. Identify new suppliers, register them in the company’s vendor list, and prepare relevant documentation to expand supplier options.
9. Work onsite at the Chumphon factory one week per month.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of purchasing experience is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP, ERP systems, or Power BI reporting is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong document management and task follow-up skills.
  • Good English communication skills are an advantage.
