Production Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding - TPAC PACKAGING (BANGNA) COMPANY LIMITED

Job Description

Responsible for managing, controlling, and improving Plastic Injection Molding processes to ensure high efficiency, process stability, and compliance with quality and production standards. The role also focuses on troubleshooting production issues and improving overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and optimize the Injection Molding process, including process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and cycle time.
• Analyze and troubleshoot quality issues such as Flash, Short Shot, Sink Mark, Warpage, and other molding defects.
• Analyze and reduce Scrap / Reject rates and Cycle Time.
• Participate in Mold Trials and coordinate with the Tooling / Mold team.
• Improve machine and production process efficiency to increase Productivity and OEE.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective Actions using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other relevant problem-solving tools.
• Prepare and continuously improve Process Parameter Sheets, Work Instructions (WI), and SOPs.
• Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, and other relevant departments.
• Lead and support Kaizen and Continuous Improvement activities.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding.
• Good knowledge of Injection Molding Processes and Mold Technology.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, and Kaizen.
• Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and effectively handle and resolve urgent production issues.
• Experience in the Plastic Packaging Industry will be an advantage.
