Responsibilities

Job Description

Responsible for maintenance engineering activities covering machinery and equipment in the plant to ensure high equipment availability, minimize machine breakdowns and downtime, and improve machine reliability and overall equipment efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and control Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns and equipment failures.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of machine failures and implement appropriate Corrective Actions.
  • Monitor, analyze, and reduce Machine Downtime.
  • Analyze and improve MTBF, MTTR, and Machine Availability.
  • Improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of machinery and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Production to plan and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and coordinate Utility Systems, including Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Systems, and Vacuum Systems.
  • Plan and manage Critical Spare Parts to ensure availability and minimize maintenance-related downtime.
  • Control and monitor Maintenance Costs.
  • Prepare and continuously improve Maintenance SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), and Maintenance Records.
  • Support Machine Improvement and Automation Projects.
  • Supervise and control maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with safety and company standards.
  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement and Maintenance Improvement activities.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar maintenance engineering role.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining Injection Molding / Blow Molding Machines will be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Preventive Maintenance and Breakdown Maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems will be an advantage.
  • Ability to analyze MTBF, MTTR, and Machine Downtime.
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis skills.
  • Ability to work on the shop floor and respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with Production, QA/QC, Engineering, and other relevant departments.
