MEP Manager - English or Chinese Speaking - CHEC (THAI) CO.,LTD.

The MEP Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex Mechanical, Electrical, 

Plumbing, and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems for our next-generation data center projects. 

This role bridges the gap between design intent and physical execution, ensuring that high

density power distribution and cooling infrastructures are installed, tested, and commissioned 

safely, on time, within budget, and to Tier III/IV standards.  

1. Construction & On-Site Coordination 

• Interdisciplinary Alignment: Lead and coordinate on-site MEP subcontractors, 

ensuring seamless integration of mechanical and electrical packages with civil, structural, 

and architectural teams.  

• BIM & Clash Resolution: Oversee the 3D BIM coordination process (using 

Revit/Navisworks) to identify and resolve spatial routing conflicts before physical 

installation begins.  

• Technical Reviews: Review and validate subcontractor shop drawings, method 

statements, material submittals, and RFIs (Requests for Information).  

2. Technical Oversight (Power & Cooling) 

• Electrical Systems: Manage the installation of medium-to-high voltage substations, 

generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution units (PDUs). 

• Mechanical Systems: Oversee advanced cooling infrastructure, including chillers, 

cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, direct-to-chip liquid cooling loops, and associated 

piping. 

• Controls & ELV: Ensure precise installation and mapping of Building Management 

Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), EPMS, and fire suppression 

systems (VESDA, Pre-action). 

3. Commissioning & Quality Assurance (QA/QC) 

• Level 1–5 Commissioning: Drive the full testing and commissioning lifecycle, from 

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) up to Integrated 

Systems Testing (IST / Level 5).  

• Quality Compliance: Enforce rigorous QA/QC standards, defect management, and 

vendor compliance to eliminate risks of infant mortality in mission-critical equipment. 

• Handover Readiness: Manage the final transition to the Operations team, ensuring all 

O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and asset warranties are fully compiled and handed 

over. 

4. Commercial & Risk Management 

• Schedule Tracking: Monitor milestones and look-ahead schedules to prevent MEP 

installation paths from impacting the critical path of the project. 

• Change Management: Evaluate technical variations and change orders, providing cost

benefit and schedule-impact analyses to the commercial team. 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a 

highly related technical field.  

• Experience: Minimum of 6–8 years of MEP project management experience, with at 

least 3–5 years dedicated specifically to Data Center construction or similar high

density critical environments (e.g., semiconductor fabs, power plants). 

• Standards Knowledge: Deep familiarity with data center design standards (e.g., Uptime 

Institute Tier Standards, TIA-942, LEED, ASHRAE Technical Committee 9.9). 

• Software Proficiency: Competence in BIM tools (Navisworks/Revit) and project 

management platforms (Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project). 

• Under Pressure Excellence: Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly during 

critical cut-overs or energized testing phases.  

• Clear Communicator: Capable of translating highly technical electrical/mechanical 

issues into concise business impacts for non-technical stakeholders and clients. 

• Safety-First Mindset: Uncompromising commitment to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) 

protocols and high-voltage safety practices.
