About the role

The P6 Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting the project schedule using Primavera P6. The position supports the project team in planning construction activities, establishing the baseline programme, updating actual progress, analyzing schedule performance and critical path, identifying potential delays, and preparing recovery or mitigation schedules to support timely project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity list, logical relationships, durations, milestones, and overall project schedule in Primavera P6

• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and other relevant teams to obtain activity sequences, durations, constraints, and required resources

• Prepare and maintain the baseline programme and supporting schedule narratives in accordance with project requirements and contractual milestones

• Collect actual start/finish dates, percentage complete, remaining durations, and progress evidence from responsible engineers and site teams

• Update the project schedule in Primavera P6 at the required reporting frequency and ensure that schedule data is accurate and supported by site information

• Compare planned progress against actual progress, identify slippages and variances, and maintain progress curves and schedule tracking records

• Review critical path, near-critical activities, float, interfaces, and schedule constraints to identify activities that may affect project completion

• Identify actual or potential delays, assess their schedule impact, and promptly highlight key risks and required actions to project management

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedule reports, including planned versus actual progress, milestone status, critical activities, delays, and look-ahead schedules

• Conduct schedule coordination with construction, engineering, procurement, plant/equipment, and subcontractor teams to confirm progress, priorities, and upcoming activities

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for construction, bridge, road, or infrastructure projects

• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, including WBS, activity logic, calendars, baselines, progress updates, critical path, and reporting

• Understanding of construction sequences, project controls, progress measurement, and schedule risk/delay analysis

• Able to prepare S-curves, look-ahead schedules, progress reports, and schedule narratives

• Primavera P6 (required); Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (required); MS Project and Power BI (advantage)

• Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented and able to work under schedule pressure
