Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve corporate HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in accordance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and applicable legal requirements.
- Lead and supervise corporate, project, and site HSE/SSHE personnel, ensuring consistent safety standards and operational compliance.
- Oversee HSE activities across multiple projects, including risk assessments, site inspections, safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with client SSHE requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and review project HSE plans, emergency response procedures, risk registers, and safety performance reports.
- Monitor HSE performance indicators, identify potential risks, and provide reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
- Coordinate HSE training, employee awareness programs, and safety initiatives to strengthen the organization's safety culture.
- Support tendering and business development activities by reviewing HSE requirements and preparing relevant technical documentation.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, contractors, and internal stakeholders on HSE-related matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in HSE/SSHE management within Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering, Construction, or other high-risk industries.
- Experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry will be highly advantageous.
- Proven experience managing HSE teams across multiple projects or operational sites.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, occupational safety regulations, risk assessment, incident investigation, and HSE auditing.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare professional reports and communicate with international clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting/document management tools.
- Willingness to travel to project sites, including onshore and offshore locations as required.
