Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research to explore emerging technologies and develop solutions for complex organizational challenges.
- Perform comprehensive technology, landscaping and benchmarking to ensure selected solutions are state-of-the-art and aligned with strategic corporate goals.
- Identify practical applications and design technical solutions to address operational pain points from the field.
- Advance and elevate Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) from the initial ideation stage through to prototype development.
- Execute experiments and performance testing at both lab-scale and prototype levels to validate technical success.
- Serve as a domain expert (Guru) in assigned technology areas within the TECH Houses structure.
- Provide in-depth technical consultation and support to internal teams and user departments.
- Evaluate technical feasibility (TRL) and support Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA) in collaboration with Project Engineer.
- Document comprehensive research findings, development processes, and lessons learned to safeguard the organization's intellectual capital.
- Publish research results through internal and external channels (Publications) to promote awareness of the organization's innovations.
- Prepare technical data and documentation to support Intellectual Property (IP) and patent filings.
- Partner with Project Engineers within "R&D Project Clusters" to ensure continuous project progression through an agile working model.
- Provide critical technical insights to the Project Engineer for business model development and market entry (Commercialization) planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong foundational knowledge in core Electrical Engineering principles, including power systems, electrical equipment and rotating machinery, protection and control systems, instrumentation and automation, industrial electrical systems, electrical safety standards, and energy management systems.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, technology development, innovation, research, or technical studies, with demonstrated experience in technical analysis and engineering evaluations.
- Good command of English (TOEIC score of 600 or above).
- Exposure to emerging technologies and innovation initiatives.
- Ability to conduct studies and development of emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated passion for innovation and technological development.
- Strong analytical skills for in-depth research and data interpretation.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems through creative and systematic methods.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively.
- Excellent technical communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel/work upcountry and abroad.
