Responsibilities

Role Summary
Overseeing and managing the logistics of goods moving in and out of the country. This includes ensuring compliance with international trade laws, managing relationships with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and optimizing shipping costs and timelines to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Compliance Management: Ensure all shipments comply with international and local regulations, including customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements.
• Logistics Coordination: Supervise the end-to-end shipping process (Sea, Air, and Land), ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
• Documentation: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all trade documents, such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and Form D/E/FTA.
• Customs Clearance: Manage the customs clearance process and resolve any issues or delays with customs authorities or government agencies.
• Vendor Management: Negotiate rates and manage performance with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and insurance providers.
• Financial Oversight: Monitor and control logistics budgets, verify freight invoices, and analyze duties/taxes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the import-export team, ensuring high productivity and continuous professional development.


Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5–8 years of experience in import-export operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Deep understanding of Incoterms 2020.
• Strong knowledge of HS Codes, Customs Act, and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
• Familiarity with digital customs systems (e.g., e-Customs, NSW).
• Can communicate in English
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
