Responsibilities
- Manage and negotiate Ocean Freight rates with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and logistics partners to secure competitive pricing and service agreements.
- Support freight rate quotations for local and overseas requestors by providing accurate pricing, transit times, and shipping solutions.
- Maintain and update ocean freight rates, surcharges, and related charges within the company's pricing system (NNR Portal), ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with Sales, Sales Coordinators, Operations, and overseas agents to support RFQs, tenders, freight inquiries, and customer quotations.
- Analyze freight costs, market trends, carrier performance, and capacity to recommend cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, freight forwarders, and business partners to ensure competitive rates and reliable service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Ocean Freight Procurement, Sea Freight Pricing, Freight Forwarding, Shipping Line, Logistics Pricing, or Ocean Operations.
- Knowledge of Ocean Import/Export, freight rates, surcharges, Incoterms, shipping documentation, and international logistics processes.
- Experience in handling RFQ, Tender, Freight Quotation, Carrier Negotiation, Pricing Analysis, and Cost Management.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good command of English for business communication.
- Experience using freight pricing systems, ERP, or logistics management systems is a plus.
- Strong relationships with shipping lines or freight forwarding partners are highly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of Purchasing or Procurement experience in the Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Shipping Line, or Supply Chain industry.
