Responsibilities
- Ensure the organization complies with data protection laws and regulations, including PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act). This involves monitoring internal practices, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and oversee data privacy strategies, ensuring they align with business objectives
- Take responsibility for PDPA-related work, including assigning tasks, ensuring proper implementation, and monitoring compliance across departments.
- Review and draft new contracts or agreements requested by CBD, BDD, and other business units
- Provide legal advice to business units on matters related to data protection, privacy, and general corporate law, helping them make informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent).
- At least 10 years of experience in legal advisory, with a strong focus on data protection, law, or regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of the PDPA, GDPR, and other related frameworks.
- Has experience in leasing or banking institutions is an advantage
- Experience conducting data protection audits, risk assessments, and handling data breaches
- Fluent of English communication
