Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY
A senior-level specialist responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of business applications. This role balances strategic innovation (AI/DX) and strict governance (J-SOX) with robust daily operational support. The P8 level operates independently, managing complex SAP and Non-SAP environments, ensuring system stability, and acting as a senior mentor to the team.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Application Support (SAP & Non-SAP)
  • Oversee and provide daily technical support for SAP related (primarily PP, and FICO module) and various Non-SAP business applications to ensure 24/7 business continuity.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Monitor system performance, interfaces, and batch jobs daily to prevent downtime and ensure data integrity across platforms.
  • Manage service requests and incidents within defined SLAs, ensuring high-quality support for all end-users.
Independent Project Management
  • Lead and execute IT projects independently, managing everything from initial requirement gathering to final deployment.
  • Support management in project roadmap planning and resource allocation.
Business Analysis (BA) & System Analysis (SA)
  • Bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions by providing expert BA/SA services
  • Analyze and design solutions for SAP-related modules, non-SAP applications, and cross-application integration.
  • Continuous optimization of SAP PP and Non-SAP workflows to improve plant productivity.
AI Innovation & Digital Transformation (DX)
  • Proactively identify and implement AI and Automation use cases within daily routines to reducemanual tasks.
  • Drive the adoption of new digital tools across the organization.
J-SOX Compliance & Application Governance
  • Maintain daily and periodic IT controls in accordance with J-SOX standards, including user access reviews and change management logs.
  • Ensure all daily system modifications and configurations follow the established Change Control Board (CCB) process and documentation standards.
Mentoring & Knowledge Management
  • Mentor and coach junior staff on daily support best practices and technical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a high-quality Knowledge Base (SOPs, FAQs) to empower the team and improve first-callresolution rates.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure quality delivery and cost-effectiveness; negotiate contracts and monitor vendor SLA performance.
  • Act as a functional consultant for various business units regarding application-related matters, including planning and controlling the IT budget and investment justification.
Transversal Responsibility
  •  All business decisions and actions must serve and be in line with the Group’s Essence, principles & values, TRACE, and our way to serve the community.
  • Partnering with Business & Functional Leaders to champion, communicate, inculcate, drive, promote and live Bridgestone’s Essence and TRACE principles & values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT Application Support, with proven experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members
  • Expertise in SAP PP or related module & Business Analysis: Extensive hands-on experience in managing SAP PP or related modules, business process mapping, and translating complex requirements into functional designs.
  • Independent Project Leadership: Proven track record in leading and executing end-to-end IT projects independently, including managing timelines, risks, and project budgets.
  • Compliance & Governance (J-SOX): Solid background in managing IT internal controls, specifically ensuring application compliance with J-SOX standards and coordinating with auditors.
  • AI & DX Initiative Support: Experience in identifying, proposing, or implementing Digital Transformation (DX) and AI-related solutions to enhance business efficiency.
  • Multi-Sector & Stakeholder Management: Background in acting as a Technical Consultant for various business units (Manufacturing, Sales, or Retail) and managing relationships with external vendors.
  • Mentorship & Team Development: Experience in coaching and providing expert-level guidance to junior IT staff to improve overall technical competency.
