Responsibilities
- Drive technical problem resolution and process execution to ensure production targets are met and product quality meets customer expectations, supporting local manufacturing operations and product-related activities.
- Implement short-term and long-term corrective actions in response to equipment or tooling failures.
- Manage equipment preventive maintenance and calibration documentation, provide necessary training, and maintain robust process controls in production.
- Evaluate, select, and procure the most appropriate and cost-effective equipment and spare parts for manufacturing operations.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrading, and ongoing maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain accurate and current records of equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Analyze equipment performance and reliability to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement programs and solutions to enhance equipment uptime and resolve equipment-related problems impacting manufacturing processes.
- Provide expert technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams.
- Define and prepare comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product engineering, equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related role.
- Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, tooling, production processes, and technical problem resolution.
- Knowledge of equipment preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement.
- Experience preparing equipment documentation, maintenance procedures, calibration records, and technical reports.
- Ability to develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
- Experience coordinating equipment installation, modification, upgrading, and maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of equipment spare-parts management, supplier evaluation, and cost-effective purchasing.
- Understanding of process control, equipment uptime, OEE, and continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to conduct root-cause analysis and implement short-term and long-term corrective actions.
- Experience providing technical support and training to production, equipment repair, and process engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project-management skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Willingness to support occasional overseas meetings, training, or equipment-related activities.
