Responsibilities

  • Lead the industrialization of new materials, compounds, and manufacturing technologies from R&D into mass production.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product and process implementation.
  • Evaluate manufacturing readiness, production capability, equipment capacity, and investment requirements for new product launches.
  • Develop, review, and maintain material specifications, compound formulations, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate the qualification and implementation of new raw materials and rubber compounds while ensuring compatibility with existing manufacturing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material performance, production efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing costs.
  • Conduct material analysis, root cause investigations, and structured problem-solving activities to resolve material- and process-related issues.
  • Monitor key process and material performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional industrialization projects and support new product introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and internal engineering procedures.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) requirements.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to production teams regarding material processing and compound technologies.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Rubber Technology, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in material engineering, rubber compound development, or industrialization within the tire, rubber, polymer, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of rubber compounds, raw materials, material specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with R&D, process engineering, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Knowledge of industrialization, new product introduction (NPI), and process validation is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international and matrix organization.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
