Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and safe operation of electrical power distribution systems, including 115 kV and 22 kV substations.
- Monitor electrical system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and optimize power protection systems, including protective relays, transformers, circuit breakers, CTs/VTs, and switchgear.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for substations, electrical equipment, and protection systems to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
- Conduct protection relay testing, calibration, coordination studies, and root cause analysis of electrical failures.
- Support electrical system expansion, modification, utility infrastructure, and energy management initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation, relay settings, and electrical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with ESH requirements, electrical safety standards, LOTO, Arc Flash, and company regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical systems, substations, or power distribution.
- Experience with medium- and high-voltage systems (22 kV / 115 kV).
- Strong knowledge of power protection systems, protective relays, transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear.
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of power system studies, protection coordination, and electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA).
- Experience in utility systems, energy management, or fire protection systems is an advantage.
- Good understanding of electrical safety practices, including LOTO, Arc Flash, and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Good command of English.
