Research and Development Specialist - 4 Care Co.,Ltd.

Responsible for overseeing the development of new products or raw materials using biotechnology and food science knowledge. This includes conducting research, designing experiments, coordinating with researchers, sourcing and liaising with manufacturing plants, and ensuring that the developed products can be industrially produced. requires keeping up with scientific advancements in the industry, seeking collaboration opportunities with external research organizations and introduction compliance to relevant law, regulations, and all standards i.e. GMP HACCP FSSC and ORGANIC and contributing to the sustainable benefit of the organization.

• Coordinate with relevant functions i.e. Marketing, Procurement and suppliers on new product development.

• Drive research initiatives to develop new products, technologies, and processes.

• Conduct Shelf-life studies, product and package quality test and provide recommendation for further adjustment in the product / package as required. 

• Conduct lab and pilot experiments. Coordinate with relevant functions i.e. Technical, Supply Chain, Commercial on new production trials and assists in supervision of the trials to ensure the result is delivered.

• Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and competitive landscape.

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures for research projects.

• Address any quality or compliance issues promptly and effectively.

• Perform routine R&D routine activities, analyze, and identify improvement opportunities for existing products and related processes.

• Conduct literature search, analyze and provide suggestion on the new product / new technology trend.

• Design and implement the appropriate experimental design and types of lab test.

• Study the latest research articles and scientific journals, as well as keep track of innovations being introduced to the market.  

• Analyze market trends and competitors to determine the direction of product development.  

• Attend conferences or seminars related to food technology. 

• To be a member of GMP & HACCP audit, Government audit / Internal audit (DLD, HALAL, GMP, HACCP, FSMS, FDA), Customer Audit, Supplier Audit 

- Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

- At least 5 years of experience in research and product development within industrial plants, universities, or relevant organizations related to food, beverages, supplements, chemicals, raw materials, or similar fields.

- Proficient in English 

- Proficient in using Microsoft office Adobe Reader and Internet

- Strong understanding of research methodologies, experimental design, and data analysis.

- Basic knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO22000 systems.

- Ability to apply AI in work processes.
