Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch
• Ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock control (FIFO/FEFO for food products)
• Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory
• Ensure warehouse layout and space utilization are efficient
Inventory Control & Accuracy
• Monitor and control inventory movements in system (SAP/WMS)
• Conduct cycle count and stock take regularly
• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely
Team Management & Development
• Lead, supervise, and manage warehouse staff performance
• Plan manpower and allocate tasks effectively
• Provide coaching, training, and development for team members
• Build a high-performance and safety-conscious team
Food Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, GFSI food standard and food safety regulations
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Ensure proper handling and storage conditions for finish goods and raw materials
• Work closely with QA/QC to meet audit requirements
Process Improvement & Efficiency
• Improve warehouse processes to increase productivity and reduce cost
• Implement best practices in warehouse management (Lean / 5S)
• Optimize material flow and reduce handling time
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Coordination & Cross-functional Support
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Logistics teams
• Ensure timely material supply to production line
• Support new product launch (NPD) in terms of storage and handling readiness
• Work with 3PL (if any) and manage service performance
Safety & Risk Management
• Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety standards (SHE)
• Prevent accidents and ensure safe working environment
• Manage equipment usage and maintenance (forklift, racking, etc.)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations (Food industry preferred)
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (SAP/WMS)
• Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO, GFSI food standard and food safety regulations
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
