Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mining plans, including short-term and long-term production schedules
- Monitor daily mining activities and ensure operations meet safety and productivity targets
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for mining projects
- Optimize resource extraction and minimize operational risks
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies
- Collaborate with geologists, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field
- Have an experience in mining operations (open-pit/underground)
- Strong knowledge of mining software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, MineSight, etc.)
- Understanding of mine planning, drilling and blasting, and equipment operations
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Able to drive a car and have license
- Willingness to work in remote or site-based locations and travel overseas as required.
