Head of Procurement Thailand - Bernina (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Role

A hands-on procurement leader who acts as the link between Global Procurement and the manufacturing plant in Thailand, ensuring supply continuity, operational excellence, cost competitiveness, and high-performing supplier relationships.

Objective of function

The Head of Procurement at BT leads all procurement activities at the manufacturing plant BT, ensuring uninterrupted material supply, strong supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and effective execution of global procurement strategies.

Together with the Head of Strategic Procurement BI and the Category Managers, he/she leads supervision and support in the sourcing projects and processes, which are executed throughout the global BERNINA Procurement organization and organized by different material categories.

The Head of Procurement might act in person as well for some directly assigned Strategic Buyer responsibilities within the global supply chain organization.

The job holder provides leadership to more than 20 members of the Procurement Department at ฺ Bernina Thailand. 
Disciplinary, he/she reports directly to the Managing Director, BERNINA Thailand and is a member of the Management team of BERNINA Thailand.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years at a senior level in a leading position of a multinational company
• Strong supplier management, networking, negotiation, and operational procurement skills.
• Experience working in an international and multicultural environment.
• Fluent in Thai and English is a must, additional languages beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal leadership skills, result oriented, creative and self-motivated.
• Excellent ability to collaborate effectively across functions in an interdependent environment
• A technical background might help in the job
• Willingness to travel / visit suppliers up to 20%
• Computer: MS-Office, ability to work with ERP (ideally D365 F+O) and PLM systems (ideally Siemens TeamCenter)
