Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers to ensure a steady supply of goods and services.
- Order Management: Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders (POs), and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to maximize cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain and build strong relationships with existing suppliers while proactively seeking new vendors to improve quality and reduce costs.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse/operations team to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities are documented accurately in the ERP system and comply with company policies.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to provide recommendations to management.
- Problem Solving: Resolve issues regarding damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or invoice discrepancies with vendors.
- Strategic Sourcing: Demonstrate initiative in researching and vetting alternative suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks and uncover cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Proficiency in ERP software
- Advanced skills in AI application, Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) is advantage.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Initiative, positive attitude, proactive working
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
