Quality Engineer (1-Year Contract) - Mattel Bangkok Limited

Department: Quality – Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Management Trainee)

• Manage incoming quality inspection activities for raw materials, components, packaging materials, and outsourced parts.
• Monitor and analyze incoming material quality performance and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Investigate material quality issues and perform root cause analysis using quality tools.
• Coordinate with Suppliers, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Review and disposition non-conforming materials and support CAPA implementation.
• Monitor supplier quality performance through quality data analysis and KPI reporting.
• Support supplier qualification, supplier audits, and supplier development programs.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) to ensure supplier and material readiness.
• Prepare quality reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain inspection standards, work instructions, and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and company quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement projects and other assignments as required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Science, or related fields.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Quality.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and quality improvement methodologies.
• Experience using quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, CAPA, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.
