Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements, ensuring accurate recording and timely payments.
- Verify, reconcile, and maintain complete and accurate accounts payable records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and prepare reports and analyses to support financial reporting and business decision-making.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including audit preparation and providing required documentation to internal and external auditors.
- Partner with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other accounts payable issues in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance internal controls, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
- Assist with other accounting, finance, and ad hoc assignments as required to support the Accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Finance, Leasing, Banking, or related industries.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, invoice processing, payment procedures, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
