About Hino Motors Manufacturing (Thailand) Ltd.
Before Thailand developed its own automotive industry, every motor vehicle had to be imported to the kingdom. In the early days, they were mostly shipped from Europe and America. But when the first Japanese Hino bus arrived in Thailand, all eyes were on it and when Hino started producing locally, it came even more sharply into popular focus. The company’s development of a large-scale bus and truck assembly plant grabbed the business headlines, as did subsequent expansions of assembly lines and openings of new plants. And it has been the case now for 60 years as the company has continued to grow impressively.
Thailand now stands as Asia’s leading automotive hub, producing over 2 million vehicles annually, and ranking among the world’s top 10 automotive capitals. In reaching this proud point, Hino Motors Manufacturing(Thailand) Ltd., has been integral to Thai social and economic development.
