MOD Survey Engineer (วิศวกรสำรวจ) - Otis Elevator Company (Thailand) Limited

Site Survey & Technical Assessment

• Conduct site surveys for elevator and escalator modernization opportunities.
• Collect and verify dimensions, equipment specifications, site conditions, and operational data.
• Evaluate existing elevator systems, hoistways, machine rooms, controllers, doors, fixtures, safety components, and structural conditions.
• Identify potential technical risks, installation constraints, and code compliance requirements.
• Take and organize site photographs, measurements, and supporting documentation.

Modernization Solution Development

• Prepare survey reports and technical recommendations for modernization solutions.
• Support development of modernization scope, equipment selection, and engineering requirements.
• Review customer specifications, consultant requirements, and tender documents.
• Provide technical clarification and recommendations during the quotation process.
• Assist in determining feasibility of modernization versus replacement solutions.

Sales Support

• Work closely with MOD Sales Representatives to develop accurate proposals and budgets.
• Participate in customer meetings and technical presentations when required.
• Support project costing by providing complete and accurate survey information.
• Assist with tender submissions and technical responses.

Engineering & Operations Coordination

• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Field Operations teams.
• Ensure survey data is complete and suitable for detailed engineering design.
• Support post-award surveys and confirm project scope before material ordering.
• Participate in project handover meetings and technical reviews.
• Provide survey support during project execution when field conditions change.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain survey records, drawings, site reports, and project documentation.
• Ensure survey activities comply with Otis safety standards and local regulations.
• Follow established survey procedures, checklists, and quality requirements.
• Keep survey templates and technical databases updated.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of surveys completed on schedule.
• Quotation accuracy and survey quality.
• Reduction of post-award scope deviations.
• Engineering rework reduction.
• Survey report submission lead time.
• Customer and internal stakeholder satisfaction.
• Safety compliance and zero-field incidents.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in elevator, escalator, construction, engineering, maintenance, modernization, or technical project environments.
• Experience conducting site surveys and technical assessments is preferred.
• Elevator modernization experience is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of elevator and escalator systems.
• Knowledge of modernization, construction, and installation methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.

Other Requirements

• Ability to travel frequently to customer sites throughout Thailand.
• Ability to access construction sites, machine rooms, and elevator shafts in accordance with safety requirements.
• Valid driving license preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple survey projects simultaneously.
