Job Description

• Supervision and Leadership: Lead and manage the QC team, including quality control inspectors and technicians. Provide direction, guidance, and support to ensure that team members perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Quality Inspections: Coordinate and conduct quality inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to verify that they meet predetermined quality criteria. This includes establishing inspection protocols and sampling plans.
• Quality Control Procedures: Develop and enforce quality control procedures, work instructions, and standards to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Data Collection: Collect and record data from quality inspections and tests. Ensure that inspection records and reports are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
• Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations from quality standards. Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that inspection equipment and instruments are properly calibrated and maintained to provide accurate and reliable results.
• Quality Training: Train and mentor quality control personnel on quality control techniques, inspection methods, and the proper use of equipment and tools.
• Documentation Control: Maintain control over quality-related documentation, including inspection records, test results, and reports. Ensure that documentation is organized and easily accessible.
• Quality Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report key quality metrics and performance indicators to management. Provide recommendations for process improvements and quality enhancements.
• Supplier Quality: Collaborate with the procurement and supplier management teams to assess the quality of materials and components sourced from external suppliers. Participate in supplier audits and evaluations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that quality control processes and practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Keep updated on changes in regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the quality control function. Implement best practices and lean principles to reduce defects

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in quality control or food safety, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other food safety regulations.
• Experience in food production quality control, sensory analysis, and lab testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks.
