Responsibilities
- Execute Daily Safety & Security Operations: Supervise the on-site execution of safety and security tasks. Monitor guard performance, patrol activity, emergency system readiness, and control room operations to ensure adherence to SOPs and incident readiness.
- Monitor Contractor and Vendor Performance: Oversee daily work and conduct spot checks on security service providers and safety-related contractors. Ensure quality, compliance, and service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Support Compliance with Safety Standards: Assist with safety audits, system testing (e.g., fire alarms, access control), and compliance documentation. Help ensure timely renewals of safety certifications and licenses in collaboration with the team lead.
- Support Incident & Emergency Response: Act as the first responder for incidents; document and report safety/security incidents, support emergency evacuations, and ensure communication protocol adherence. Maintain incident logs and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct Safety Inspections & Routine Assessments: Perform regular site inspections to check safety signage, equipment readiness, and environmental risk factors. Identify safety gaps and report non-compliance for rectification.
- Coordinate Fit-out & Renovation Safety Checks: Assist in reviewing tenant fit-out activities or renovation works for safety protocol compliance. Ensure contractors adhere to safety measures and permit-to-work procedures.
- Maintain Records and Reports: Update daily reports, logs, and documentation related to safety incidents, inspections, contractor shifts, and maintenance checks. Support administrative tracking and digital system inputs.
- Collaborate with Facility and Property Teams: Liaise with property, engineering, and facility teams to address operational hazards and ensure a safe, secure environment is maintained for all users
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years in safety, security, or facilities control roles in commercial buildings, retail centers, or mixed-use developments. Safety officer certificate.
- Technical Understanding: Knowledge of fire safety systems, security monitoring, emergency procedures, and contractor safety practices.
- Operational Discipline: Strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and real-time monitoring.
- Communication Skills: Ability to report incidents clearly, escalate issues appropriately, and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive Attitude: Alert, observant, and capable of identifying risks or service lapses before escalation.
