Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

·         Collection & Credit Strategy: Develop and implement effective collection policies, credit terms, and recovery strategies to improve cash flow and reduce DSO.

·         Portfolio Risk Management: Monitor aging reports, analyze account receivables, identify high-risk accounts, and establish mitigation strategies.

·         Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and track the performance of the collections team to achieve monthly/quarterly targets.

·         Escalation & Dispute Resolution: Handle high-value or complex delinquent accounts, negotiate payment plans, and resolve billing disputes.

·         Legal & Third-Party Oversight: Liaise with legal counsel, debt collection agencies, and external advisors for defaulted accounts and legal recovery processes.

·         Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare cash collection forecasts, bad debt provisions, and regular performance reports for senior management.

·         Process Improvement: Enhance internal control systems, collection workflows, and automated billing/ERP integration.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

·         Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA/CFA is a plus).

·         Experience: 5+ years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.

·         Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.

·         Domain Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of credit risk management, debt recovery laws, consumer/corporate debt protection regulations, and dispute management.

·         Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
