• Utilize ERP and AI tools to analyze data and insights for industry and consumer trends.
• Support new RFQ opportunity by sourcing with approved aerospace suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by sourcing and validating required materials.
• Support audits by customers, OEMs, and regulatory authorities
• Routinely reports on supplier performance, related issue, general daily, weekly, monthly report as per assigned.
• Cooperation and creation on company saving program.
• Cooportation and creation project of increasing cash flow, credit term extension.
• Continuous lean process and improve procurement process.
• May occasionally perform or lead special projects and/or perform other duties as assigned.
• Raw Material Planning:
- Responsible for planning and procurement for raw materials, fasteners, paint, sealant, chemical.
- Optimize raw material inventory to ensure adequate support customer’s requirement with sufficient quantity in timely manner and qualifying with required quality standard
- Work with Production planner and Operation team to ensure sufficient raw materials have ordered and delivery to meet the production scheduling requirement, whilst minimizing raw material stock holding level
- Work with warehouse team to ensure stocks issuing are recorded accurately at timely manner and periodical physical count has carried out regularly
- Ensure raw materials are not over purchased which may lead to surplus or obsolete
- Monitor and taken actions on slow moving stocks or surplus stocks to minimize aging stock and disposal cost
- Manage non-conforming raw materials with related parties such as Supplier, Quality, Finance in order to complaint, return and/or claim at timely manner
- Provide raw material forecast to suppliers and work with suppliers to prepare necessary their raw material and production schedule in order to secure production continuity
- Provide timely updates on material status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Supplier Management:
- Flow down customer’s contract as well as standard terms & conditions to the related raw material suppliers
- Focus on supplier development in the contexts of safety, delivery, quality and cost management to support business growth in all interactions
- Supplier performance management and directives to drive performance improvement
- Work with supplier to provide best solution for non-delivery or late delivery items to minimize impact to production scheduling and delivery performance
- Establish proper preventive / corrective actions with suppliers to prevent delivery failures or material failures
- Identify supply risk, provide strategic options, and managing the plans to mitigate risks. This may include strategic partnership development for enhance value chain and cost reductions
- Act as the primary business contact point with raw material suppliers and manage all partner-related matters including communication, business development, planning as well as coordination within internal stakeholders
- Develop and implement a strategy for each key supplier as appropriate, ensuring alignment of partner strategy with business strategy
- Build and manage relationship with partners and internal stakeholders to pursue customer’s priority prospects representing high value opportunities including identify new partners as well as manage existing suppliers
- Provide raw material suppliers with relevant guidance and education on our client / solutions
- Ensure that raw material suppliers are certified as the minimum requirements such as AS9100, NADCAP etc.
