Job Summary & Purpose:
Develop, manage, and execute the operation, sales performance and service delivery of the retail wine department, contributing directly to Tops Wine Cellars being the premier wine retail experience in Thailand.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Develop and execute best-in-class service standards across formats.
• Develop and coordinate training courses for store staff.
• Carry out consistent quality control across formats to ensure proper merchandising, conditions of stock and a uniform and best-in-class service delivery.
• Monitor aging and non-sale items across stores and develop and execute plans for their diminishment.
• Coach and lead Department managers and wine staff on a day-to-day basis.
• Assist with in-store assistance at peak times in flagship stores.
• Develop and implement new in-store design concepts across formats.
• Work closely together with Space Optimization, Merchandising and Planogram to ensure consistent updated and engaging wine displays across formats.
• Keep consistently updated on Tops Wine Cellars comp set and present findings to executive management on a continual basis.
Business Development
• Develop and execute monthly, quarterly and annual wine events.
• Drive Wine Club sales through content creation, world-class service and customer engagement.
• Support wholesale team with wine education of both internal and external staff.
• Support wholesale team with building client relations for UPC locations.
• Prospect new business opportunities with a heighten focus on external online sales channels.
• Conduct frequent wine tastings and masterclasses for internal staff, Central food retail staff and best customers.
• Work closely with other departments within Tops Wine Cellars to explore new wine business opportunities.
• Assist Buying team with feedback on current market trends, customer preferences and general movements within the wine industry.
