The Tax Specialist will manage all aspects of tax compliance and advisory for Thai entities. This includes handling Corporate Income Tax (CIT), VAT, WHT, and other sector-specific obligations. The role ensures full compliance with Thai tax laws and supports strategic tax planning to optimize fiscal efficiency and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate & Indirect Tax
- Manage VAT submissions, including reverse charge mechanisms and input VAT tracking.
- Prepare and submit Withholding Tax (WHT) returns, applying treaty benefits under Double Tax Agreements (DTA)
- Handle Specific Business Tax (SBT) and Stamp Duty (SD) obligations.
Transfer Pricing & International Tax
- Prepare Transfer Pricing Disclosure Forms and documentation in line with Thai Revenue Department requirements.
- Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure arm’s length pricing.
- Support cross-border tax planning and treaty applications.
Tax Advisory & Audit Support
- Advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of contracts, joint ventures, and asset transfers.
- Liaise with the Revenue Department during audits and disputes.
- Conduct tax research and prepare technical memos and presentations.
Regulatory Monitoring & Projects
- Stay updated on changes in Thai tax laws, including carbon tax and BOI incentives
- Participate in system upgrades and process improvements related to tax reporting.
- Support sustainability-related tax initiatives, including renewable energy incentives and carbon reporting.
