With operations spanning across the Eastern Hemisphere, the Accountant's attention to detail and adherence to accounting principles ensure precise financial reporting and compliance. Their work directly supports informed decision-making and the growth of the business unit.
The Accountant is responsible for accurately recording, reconciling, and analyzing financial transactions. In the absence of an Accounts Supervisor and Accounts Assistant, this role is empowered to handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions within the business unit, collaborating with the Accounting & Finance Manager.
- Financial Transactions: Accurately record and classify financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring meticulous recording and proper classification of transactions.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure precision.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and documentation for internal and external reporting purposes.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls in all financial activities.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to discern trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement.
- Problem Solving: Address discrepancies or issues in financial transactions, devising solutions and collaborating as necessary.
- Assistance to Manager: Support the Business Unit's Accounting & Finance Manager in various financial tasks and projects to uphold financial integrity.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: In the absence of an Accounts Supervisor and Accounts Assistant, handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, collections, and vendor/customer relations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with 3+ years in supervisory role
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local regulations
- Proficient in and Microsoft Office Suite, MS Excel intermediate
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems with Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions or MS Dynamics a plus
- Effective communication and team leadership skills
- Native English speaker with TOEIC score of 700 or higher
