Garment Engineering Officer

This involves understanding the technical aspects of garment construction and proposing modifications to enhance manufacturability without compromising design integrity.
- Production Method Development: Develop innovative and cost-effective production methods for new and existing garment lines. This includes creating detailed process flows, identifying key production bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to streamline operations.
- Standard Allowance Minutes (SAM) Development: Establish SAM for all garment types to standardize production times and improve labor cost forecasting. This involves working closely with production teams to accurately time tasks and refine production standards.
- Data Analysis for Process Improvement: Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement in garment production. Utilize statistical tools and software to analyze production data, with a focus on reducing waste, improving quality, and enhancing overall productivity.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of new production methods and standards. This includes providing technical expertise during design reviews, participating in production meetings, and collaborating on quality improvement initiatives.
- Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in garment engineering and production. Adapt to new methods and technologies that can be implemented to improve efficiency, sustainability, and product quality.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and capable of using specialized engineering software.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and write production processes in both local and English languages.
- Flexible to work on different jobs outside of the primary scope of work.
