1. Test Management & New Product Introduction (NPI)
-Plan, manage, and supervise testing activities for new products including prototype, trial batch, and mass production stages.
-Review, approve, and control testing standards and data such as FCT, functional test, aging test, and calibration procedures.
-Oversee the design, selection, validation, and implementation of testing fixtures suitable for actual production.
-Review and approve test instructions to ensure accuracy, clarity, and readiness before trial or mass production.
2. Equipment, Maintenance & Budget Management
-Ensure availability and capability of testing machines and equipment in alignment with production plans.
-Establish and manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans, including spare parts management.
-Control budgets related to testing equipment, maintenance expenses, and new equipment investment.
-Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, or methods to improve testing performance and reliability.
3. Efficiency & Quality Improvement
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce testing time, energy consumption, and cost while improving test yield.
-Analyze testing data, defect trends, and quality risks to support decision-making.
-Lead root cause analysis and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for test-related quality issues.
-Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve cross-functional issues effectively.
4. People Management & Leadership
-Plan manpower requirements and develop team competencies through coaching and training.
-Set departmental goals, evaluate performance, and develop career paths for team members.
-Build a proactive, responsible, and team-oriented working culture.
-Act as a key decision-maker and technical advisor for critical testing and quality issues.
