1. Material Planning
- Develop material planning strategies for timely raw material/component supply, control inventory costs.
- Collaborate with procurement to forecast demand per production/sales plans, adjust dynamically.
- Monitor inventory, analyze safety stock/reorder point/lead time, optimize to avoid stockouts/overstock.
- Coordinate supplier on-time delivery, handle quality/delivery issues, maintain relationships.
2. Production Planning
- Execute production plans aligned with orders/capacity/materials to optimize resources & ensure on-time completion.
- Monitor production progress, resolve bottlenecks/delays, adjust plans for unexpected events (e.g., equipment failure).
- Collaborate with production/QC/engineering for effective communication, guarantee quality & smooth production.
- Analyze production data (output/efficiency/scrap rate), propose continuous improvement for efficiency & cost reduction.
3. Warehouse Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations (receiving/inspection/storage/picking/packing/shipping), ensure compliance with procedures/safety rules.
- Optimize warehouse layout/storage to maximize space, improve efficiency, reduce losses.
- Manage inventory accuracy, conduct cycle/annual counts, reconcile discrepancies.
- Supervise/train warehouse staff, establish performance evaluation, motivate team improvement.
- Maintain warehouse equipment, coordinate maintenance if needed.
4. Import & Export Operations
- Manage end-to-end import & export: document prep (invoice/packing list/B/L/customs form), clearance, inspection, freight, delivery.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs policies to avoid detention/fines.
- Collaborate with forwarders/brokers to optimize routes, reduce costs, ensure on-time delivery.
- Handle import/export issues (clearance delays/damage/document errors), resolve disputes, minimize losses.
5. General Logistics Management
•Develop and improve logistics management systems, processes and SOPs to standardize operations and enhance overall efficiency.
•Control logistics costs (transportation, inventory, warehouse operations), conduct cost analysis and propose cost-saving measures.
•Lead and manage the logistics team (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, team building) to foster a positive work atmosphere.
•Coordinate with internal departments (sales, procurement, finance) and external partners to ensure smooth information flow and collaborative operations.
•Monitor industry trends and advanced logistics technologies, and propose optimization/innovation schemes to enhance competitiveness.
