• Conduct regular plant rounds to proactively identify and report any abnormalities and other operational concerns.
• Accurately collect field data (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, vibration) and promptly report any deviations to the DCS/Shift Incharge.
• Communicate real-time field observations effectively to the Shift DCS Engineer.
• Support critical plant activities such as startups, shutdowns, and emergency handling, strictly adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Execute manual adjustments of valves, dampers, and instruments as directed from the control room.
• Verify the status of field equipment during interlocks, trips, or maintenance activities.
• Manage specific operational tasks, including reactor burner changes due to abnormalities or grade changeovers, and prepare solutions for reactor and mixer additives using appropriate PPE.
• Monitor reactor/APH expansion during heating/cooling cycles and perform silo rounds as required.
• Collect process samples and ensure timely delivery to the laboratory according to schedule.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in process industries, preferably in sectors such as Carbon Black, Petrochemical, Chemical, or Refinery.
• Familiarity with DCS-controlled operations and continuous process environments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of plant operations and various equipment, including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, bag filters, and pelletizers.
• Possess a problem-solving attitude with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to abnormal conditions.
• Proficient in English communication (verbal and written).
• Able to work rotating shift duties.
