We introduce new technologies, develop innovative solutions and improvement projects to maintain and enhance the manufacturing system, ensuring it consistently meets Seagate’s product requirements. Our work encompasses equipment software development, process improvement, and technology enhancement to support and sustain HGA manufacturing operations.
About the role - you will:
• Lead and manage the Hardware (H/W) engineering team within the Factory Sustainable Engineering department. Ensure continuous improvement and undisrupted operation of critical automation mass production machine processes, factory enhancement and quality improvement activities
• Lead the team and cross-functional groups such as machine design, maintenance, process, quality, safety engineer to enhance existing processes and equipment, and proactively introduce new technologies, processes, or equipment when opportunities arise
• Capable to investigate and resolve complex equipment and process issues using structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making. Apply appropriate methods and evaluation criteria to achieve effective outcomes
• Managing the entire machine/process development lifecycle, including setting scopes, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and tracking deliverables using formal methodologies
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, including coaching emerging leaders
• Define and execute development plans, roadmaps, and growth activities to foster a challenge-driven mindset and build a team of future-ready technology experts
• Design Tools: Proficiency with relevant engineering software, such as CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical design and simulation tools
