Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical documentation for solar tenders to support the Sales team.
  • Provide comprehensive tendering support, including reviewing and evaluating solar project specifications, and preparing technical documents such as customer drawings, cost estimations, quotations, and onsite technical clarifications for submission to sales and customers.
  • Review and approve technical documents, acting as an Associate Civil Engineer or higher.
  • Conduct pre-sale order checks for purchasing and production drawings as required.
  • Draft and prepare all design and drawing documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements for post-sales activities.
  • Modify or create CAD drawings as necessary, ensuring accuracy and error-free output.
  • Clarify technical specification requirements with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with external support functions for all process, tooling, and equipment improvements or repairs within the facility or with suppliers for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and control the First Article Inspection (FAI) process for related products to ensure all major design, raw material, and manufacturing process changes undergo FAI before production.
  • Provide on-site technical support for solar tenders, projects, and related business activities.
  • Support the team with design testing and verification at project sites.
  • Set up Mop Up Solar Mounting Systems for new project sites.
  • Demonstrate and provide basic installation training to customers.
  • Manage daily on-site activities for ongoing projects, after-sales service, and product warranty service, including installation supervision, troubleshooting, inspection, testing, repair, and product handover.
  • Monitor and control the quality of repair works performed at sites.
  • Manage all product warranty claims requested by customers.
  • Ensure all activities are executed with the highest quality, cost efficiency, safety, and timeliness.
  • Prepare daily plans and progress reports for the NPD Assistant Manager or NPD Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the NPD Assistant Manager or NPD Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an Associate Civil Engineer certificate.
  • 0-3 years of experience, demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D Mechanical and Electrical Design, along with strong drawing skills.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Job Summary

In this entry-level Solar Engineer role, you will play a key part in supporting both the Sales and New Product Development teams. You will be responsible for preparing technical documentation for solar tenders, including reviewing project specifications, estimating costs, and generating quotations.
