Job Purpose

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle management of production equipment – encompassing usage planning, preventive and corrective maintenance, performance monitoring, and upgrading – to maximize equipment reliability, availability and efficiency. This role partners closely with Production and Quality to safeguard manufacturing capacity, product quality and on-time delivery, while driving continuous improvement in equipment utilization, cost efficiency and operational safety.

Roles and Responsibilities

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Safety & Good Documentation Practices The associate shall demonstrate a basic awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, organizational safety requirements and Good Documentation Practices in their daily routines. Also, the associates are expected to be self-starters and continually improve his/her functional process to support the organization's strategies.

1.       Plan and coordinate machine/equipment usage and allocation to meet production, capacity and delivery requirements.

2.       Develop and execute preventive and corrective equipment maintenance plans to ensure machine reliability and minimize downtime.

3.       Monitor equipment performance and utilization, analyze data to identify efficiency gaps and drive improvement actions.

4.       Plan equipment upgrading, modification and replacement to support production capacity, quality and technology requirements.

5.       Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

6.       Manage equipment installation, commissioning and qualification for new or upgraded machines.

7.       Establish and maintain equipment maintenance records, SOPs and spare parts inventory.

8.       Work with production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets safety, quality and compliance standards.

9.       Drive continuous improvement initiatives on equipment efficiency, cost and safety

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in PVD, vacuum coating, thin film coating, or other surface treatment industries.
• Manufacturing or equipment engineering experience is a plus.
