Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
* Conduct end-to-end reviews of AML processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps and improvement opportunities.Design and implement simplified, efficient and sustainable processes while maintaining appropriate risk and control standards.
* Drive initiatives to reduce manual activities, duplication and operational complexity.
* Identify opportunities for automation, digitization and better use of data.
* Establish process performance measures and track benefits delivered from improvement initiatives.
2. Operationalization of AML Requirements
* Translate regulatory requirements, policies, assurance findings and management actions into clear operational requirements, processes and controls.
* Work with relevant stakeholders to determine process ownership, procedures, controls and implementation requirements.
* Develop and maintain process maps, procedures, operating guidelines and supporting documentation.
* Ensure changes are appropriately communicated, implemented and embedded into business-as-usual operations.
* Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess effectiveness and identify further improvements.
3. Project & Change Delivery
* Lead assigned AML improvement, remediation and transformation initiatives from planning through implementation.
* Develop project plans, milestones, dependencies and implementation timelines.
* Coordinate activities across Business, Operations, AML, Compliance, Risk and other relevant stakeholders.
* Proactively identify delivery risks, issues and dependencies and drive timely resolution or escalation.
* Track implementation progress and provide clear updates to the Process Improvement and Operationalization Head.
4. Risk & Control Enhancement
* Ensure process improvements incorporate appropriate risk management and control requirements.
* Support remediation of regulatory, audit, compliance and assurance findings.
* Identify potential execution and operational risks arising from process changes.
* Work with process and control owners to establish sustainable controls and monitoring mechanisms.
* Promote strong risk ownership and control discipline across implemented processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Operations, Accounting or a related discipline.
* 7-10 years of relevant experience in banking, AML, risk and control, operations, process improvement or transformation.
* Demonstrated experience in process improvement, change implementation or project delivery within a regulated environment.
* Good understanding of AML, financial crime risk, banking operations and regulatory requirements.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
* Ability to manage multiple initiatives and coordinate effectively across functional teams.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
* Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Agile or other process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
* Strong digital proficiency across Microsoft Office and reporting tools, with the ability to leverage AI and effective prompt design to enhance productivity and decision-making considered an advantage.
